It might seem strange to see a Caesar salad on our menu but there is a reason we felt it had to make an appearance. Caesar salad was invented in the early 1920s by Caesar Cardini, an Italian chef who owned a restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico. He moved to Tijuana from California to avoid Prohibition, and it was here, that the salad was invented.
Tex-Mex is the ultimate mezcla of recipes and it continues to evolve as a relatively new regional cuisine. Our Caesar is tangy and refreshing on a hot day like today and I highly recommend it as as crisp start before you dig in to your Lulu's Plate or fajitas.
