Lisa came to me early in the year to plan Jake’s special cake. She challenged me to swap my usual sculpted version to make it a one-of-a-kind reverse tiered design.

I’ve always stressed that I don’t have a “magic cake wand” but in July 2024, it was absolutely true.

Hurricane Beryl left thousands without power (including us) and I still made it happen.

One generator, one refrigerator, a portable A/C unit, a few design changes, and flood lanterns galore.. Reese was getting her Taylor Swift inspired cake for her 10th!
Touches of the different album eras sprinkled throughout a ‘Lover’ vibe all around.

It doesn’t feel real… that my first back to school cookies were launched ten years ago. My twins were going into second grade and I wanted to give teachers a gift they would love [ie not another mug]

These were HUGE- the size of your face. But they were so loved!

My oldest babies are seniors (cue all of the tears) and so much is changing in this season of life.

I won’t say this year is the *LAST* year for BTS gifts, but I’m not ruling anything out at this point. I’ve learned that saying “never” just makes me eat my words down the road.

I rarely keep up with these days, but of course I can’t skip this one.

While cupcakes were the main focus of this journey back in 2012, things have shifted and cookies have definitely taken over.

Enjoy one of the THIRTY snaps in my storage featuring Ariana’s cake.

Ashley sent me an inspiration photo with a bottom tier style that I was excited to adapt. The goal was to highlight UT but in a glamorous and feminine style.

Assignment accepted and executed! The combination of techniques turned into a stunning design 🫶🏼
