Now, we're a cozy cottage bakery located in Abilene, Texas who specializes in sourdough bread and drop cookies to savor and share with the ones you love. My name is Rebecca, and I am so glad you've stopped by to check out our tasty treats! I am a wife and mom, with 3 adorable sons and a goofy dog underfoot and around me while at home. I've always found peace and joy while baking (and the results h

ave only confirmed that joy--I mean, who doesn't love freshly baked cookies?!). I recently stepped back from teaching to stay home with my babies, and I want to show them how special it is to share our passions with those around us. 🍪 Loaded Chocolate Chip Cookies Sandwiches 🍪
Our absolute favorite chocolate chip cookie (with 3 different types of chocolate stuffed inside) now has a best friend--whipped cookie cream icing. 😍 If you're a cookie cake fan, this cookie sandwich is for you! It is definitely on the sweet side but oh-so-good and gooey. If requested, I can add some flakey salt on the top cookie to cut the sweetness a bit for my more semi-sweet chocolate lovers. But I will say--my kids thought it was perfectly sweet and couldn't get enough.
Sold in packs of 2 cookie sandwiches (with or without chocolate jimmies on the sides) for $12, they are the perfect after school treat or dessert to split! Add them to your next order and let me know what you think. ❤️ Our next porch pick-up and delivery day is 5/23!

We've got our May/June sourdough workshop on the books! Have you wanted to try making sourdough bread but don't know where to begin? Or have you tried to make sourdough bread but aren't happy with your bread and need some guidance? I would love to teach you the ins-and-outs of sourdough bread baking!

If you’ve been wanting to learn sourdough but feel a little intimidated, or if you want to problem solve why your bread hasn't been coming out the way you'd like, this class is for you. I’ll walk you through the full process step-by-step—from mixing and shaping to scoring and baking—so you can confidently make beautiful loaves at home.
You’ll leave with everything you need to keep going: your own starter, dough to bake, and the tools we use in class.
It’s always such a sweet, relaxed morning, and I truly love getting to bake alongside you and answer all your questions.

✨It all started with a hedgehog butter dish in Jr. High.✨
My name is Rebecca, and I have loved butter for as long as I can remember! Melted on fresh, crusty bread and it creates an instant sense of home. Pair it with sugar, eggs, and vanilla and together it creates the best scent this side of heaven. I learned to bake while using a hedgehog butter dish that now has many cracks and dings; it reminds me of why I bake. As a wife and mother, I love bringing family and friends together with delicious, homemade comforting food. As a science teacher turned baker, I love sharing the incredible details on how and why my food tastes so yummy. Most importantly, as a Christian, I cherish the opportunity to tell my customers about the true Bread of Life, Jesus, and how He satisfies the soul far more than bread and butter could ever do.

Do you have the itch to learn sourdough? Is a friend or family member of yours ALWAYS talking about how they want to learn, but neither of you know where to start? Have you tried baking sourdough at home and it just doesn't turn out right?!
I've been there--and I'd love to teach you what I've learned. ❤️ Sourdough baking has been a joy and passion of mine for a few years now, but I had to learn the hard way to get to where I am! Now, you can skip the hard stuff (especially starting a starter from scratch, IYKYK), and jump right in to baking your own homemade sourdough bread with me. I'll walk you through the entire sourdough process from start to finish, and you'll get everything you need to start your first loaf at home. You'll also have continued support via a special Facebook group for my past and present sourdough students.
