Dear friends and family,
I wanted to give you a update on Bladi's situation. He is back at the hospital for more Chemo. The doctors have discovered that he has blood clots in his arm and his port, which can sometimes occur as a side effect of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy can increase the risk of blood clots because it affects the blood's ability to clot and can damage blood vessels.
Right now, the medical team is working to determine the best course of action to address these blood clots. They might need to remove his port or administer additional blood thinners to dissolve the clots. The process to get rid of blood clots typically involves medications that help to break down the clots and prevent new ones from forming. In some cases, they might need to perform procedures to remove the clots directly.
We are waiting to hear more from the doctors about the next steps and will keep you all updated. Please keep Bladi in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this challenging time.
