Java Pura Coffee Roasters has been pioneering the way in the specialty coffee world in Houston for more than a decade. We are looking for an office manager and receptionist who is passionate about coffee, providing amazing customer service, and keeping our office organized and efficient! A friendly and self-starter attitude is a must for this position.
In this dynamic position, Java Pura’s office manager/receptionist will have the opportunity to wear the many hats of a ever growing local business:
- First contact with new and existing customers, including retail, wholesale, and catering. Deliver high quality customer service and ensure that orders are filled in a timely manner.
- Manage all invoices, payments, and bills in QuickBooks Online, working with our accountant to keep the books in good standing.
- Update product information for the website, support customers with online ordering, and manage reward system in Shopify.
- Assist owner with project management and oversee staff assignments.
- Manage and prioritize meetings, responsible for minutes, monitor completion of tasks.
- Organize and maintain office spaces, file and organize records.
- Help onboard new hires.
- Order and replenish supplies for the office and fulfillment team.
- Become knowledgeable in specialty coffee and brewing merchandise to effectively assist and sell to new and existing customers.
- Participate in coffee cuppings and collaborate on coffee purchasing decisions.

We offer a casual environment focused on team work and growth. Two weeks paid vacation plus holidays, free flowing coffee at work (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm), discounted coffee for the weekend.
Salary of $18-21/hr DOE.
