A Statement from Juanita’s Mexican Kitchen

We are aware of the recent closure of Juanita’s Mexican Restaurant on TC Jester and understand that it has created some confusion within our community.

We would like to clarify that Juanita’s Mexican Kitchen, with locations in Cypress and Louetta, is not affiliated with or associated with the TC Jester location.

While Angel Nuñez originally helped open the TC Jester restaurant in 2000, he sold his ownership interest in 2014. Since then, the TC Jester restaurant has been independently owned and operated and has had no affiliation with Juanita’s Mexican Kitchen.

Today, Juanita’s Mexican Kitchen is proudly owned and operated by Angel, Miguel, and Bianca. Our family remains committed to serving our guests with the same recipes, hospitality, and dedication that have been the foundation of our restaurants for over 25 years.

We sincerely appreciate the support of our customers and community and look forward to continuing to serve you at our Cypress and Louetta locations.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of one of our Juanita’s family members, Luis, one of our beloved line cooks.

Luis was more than a coworker—he was family. He brought dedication, hard work, and a positive spirit to our kitchen every day. His impact on our team and the friendships he built here will never be forgotten.

We are heartbroken by this loss and are keeping Luis’s family, friends, and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

At Juanita’s, we have always believed that our team is family, and today we mourn the loss of one of our own. We are grateful for the time we had with Luis and for the memories he leaves behind.
