Some mornings hit harder than words can describe.
Early this morning, we found out our bakery was broken into overnight. Watching the security camera — the person hid his face, opened every cabinet, and oddly, took our ice machine and ran away.
But in the middle of all the chaos, we realized how lucky and be loved we are.
Our cakes, desserts, cookies, and customer orders were all safe. Neighbors checked in on us, customers came by just to support us, and a special thank you to who came in for a matcha drink this morning, learned what happened, and kindly shared our story with the community. Because of that post, we saw so many caring customers walk through our doors today just to show support.
Later today, I went to Trader Joe’s to buy flowers for a cake order, and an employee kindly gifted me a bouquet of beautiful flowers. Such a small gesture, but it meant so much.
Thank you for all the love, support, and kindness today. We truly felt it. We’ll continue doing what we love most — making beautiful desserts and creating a warm little place for our community.
With gratitude,
Peggy 🤍
