The Living Room With pay what you can coffee and tea, this is a place for all to come and be.

We are a welcoming downtown space in Houghton, MI where students, locals, and neighbors can gather to build relationships with others and experience true life in Christ.

We're finally getting our floors started this week!! After that, we've got everything queued up to start moving in. Stay tuned. We're getting closer and closer. Not quite ready to throw an open date out there just yet. Soon!

We're looking forward to making these available to you very soon! These will be the roasts available for purchase. We'll be brewing up the "Welcome Home" as our house roast along with a decaf version as well upon opening.

Super excited to announce that we'll be serving up coffee from our friends at Espresso Bay in Traverse City, MI at The Living Room. We'll also have some custom roasts for sale which proceeds will go right back in to support the mission. Looking forward to the opportunities to enjoy this coffee together and slow down, be known, and come alive!

Are you hospitable?
Do you enjoy a conversation?
Love Jesus?

If this is you, consider serving as a host at the Living Room. We'll make sure you're fully trained and feel equipped and supported.

What's a "host"?

Think about the barista at a coffee shop (you won't be asked to sling espressos, but to brew some drip coffee). Except, imagine that barista asks your name and how you're doing? If able and interested, she strikes up a conversation with you and even offers prayers for your day.

That's what we imagine the hosts at the Living Room will be like.

We'll train you. We'll make sure you have a partner to serve with so you're not on your own. As we get started, we're going to build the hours of the Living Room around the availability of the hosts. So, let us know your availability, even if it's limited.

In addition, consider the opportunity to sign up as a husband and wife team.

Also, we envision a whole family could sign up to host for a couple of hours and teach your kids how to demonstrate Christian hospitality to their neighbors.
