Zack’s BBQ / Community
What a night, North Fork Valley! ❤️
Waking up this morning and seeing the photos, videos, comments, and incredibly kind messages being shared has been overwhelming in the best possible way.
When Bill Grom first came to me with the idea of bringing a band to town and putting on a concert as a way of saying thank you to this community, neither of us could have imagined what it would become. What happened last night was so much more than a concert.
Families were spread across the lawn, kids were playing, neighbors were catching up, new friendships were being made, music filled the park, and hundreds of people simply enjoyed being together. One of the posts this morning described it as an “old-fashioned gathering,” and I can’t think of a better compliment.
Our Zack’s team prepared and served well over 700 hot dogs, along with chili, corn on the cob, potato salad, ice cream and cake—and somehow it all came together!
This event was only possible because an incredible number of local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and individuals said “How can we help?” and then showed up and did exactly that.
A very special thank you to Bill Grom for lighting the fire that started all of this and bringing Liquid Velvet to the North Fork Valley, and to everyone who donated food, supplies, services, equipment, printing, marketing, transportation, time, and plenty of muscle.
Most importantly, thank YOU to everyone who came. You created the atmosphere everyone is talking about this morning.
We hoped this could become something special for the North Fork Valley. After last night, I think you all answered that question for us.
From the Timmons family and everyone at Zack’s BBQ: thank you for allowing us to be part of this community and for making last night a night we will never forget.
Maybe we really did start a new tradition. ❤️🎶
