From 9 to 5 and page to page, a good story can brighten any day.
Today, 9/25, we mounted our Little Free Library on the shipping container beside our courtyard picnic area. Richie and Valerie built it for us, and we’re so grateful for the care they put into it.
Dolly Parton believed in getting books into people’s hands, especially children’s. We loved Dolly, and her dedication to literacy inspired us to give stories a little place to travel through our community.
The library is simple: leave a book and take a book. If you don’t have one to leave, please take one anyway. You don’t need to ask anyone—just stop by and find a story that speaks to you. Books for kids and adults, in all genres, are welcome.
Have a whole stack to donate? We’d love to have them! Just see the bartender, and we’ll rotate books onto the shelves as space opens up.
This is also the last weekend to participate in Power of the Card. Come celebrate reading with us and help keep the stories going. Thanks Garland County Library for all you do!
