Lafayette Creamery has moved from our original Texas Corner's location to 109 West Main in Hopkins, MI. Our Hopkins location is open effective 7/3/2021 and is OPEN through the winter months from 12:00 - 8:00pm on Saturdays. Other locations hand-dipping Lafayette Creamery super-premium ice cream include Rykse's (7141 W. Kalamazoo Mall in Kalamazoo). Hand-packed pints are available at a number of st

ores around Southwest Michigan including Tiffany's Wine & Spirits; Acqua in Vino; Bob & Kay's (Stadium Dr.); Harding's (Woodbridge, Oshtemo, Richland, West Main); CD's Quik Mart; Bronson Hospital; and is served at fine restaurants in the Kalamazoo area.

An economist might tell you that beef prices are + 15% this year while pork prices are < 1%. A home economist might tell you that beef prices are up over $1.60/lb while pork prices are up $.04/lb.
The economist would tell you that consumers viewing beef and pork options would substitute beef in favor of pork because of the relative price difference. The home economist would tell you that those being fed prefer beef over pork regardless of price.

JUNE IS DAIRY MONTH! 🥛🐄

Did you know that Lafayette Creamery is owned and operated by dairy farmers? 3 of Ybema brothers - Steve, Marty, and Charles own and operate the creamery while Steve and Marty also partner together on Ybema Farms, a dairy in Hopkins where many of the next generation are also involved daily.

Here’s a few photos from life on the farm to highlight and celebrate the dairy industry. Just remember that every time you enjoy a scoop (or two , we don’t judge😉) of ice cream, cheese on your pizza, whey protein shake, a glass of milk and so many other delicious dairy products that there’s dairy farmers putting in a lot of effort everyday to produce your favorite dairy products and we always appreciate you as our consumers!
