Chef Wesley Shoultz developed a deep appreciation for eclectic cuisine at a young age. Growing up in Mobile, Alabama he was exposed to a variety of foods that fueled his lifelong passion for cooking. With family influences in Cajun, English, and Arabic cuisine Chef Wesley's ability to create dishes with bold flavor and taste profiles is apparent in each dish that he creates.
Chef Wesley began working at the Wynfrey Hotel in his early 20's while going to culinary school. He worked his way up from line cook to the Executive Sous chef for the hotel. In 2008, Wesley accepted the Executive Chef position at Shula's Steakhouse. It allowed him to sharpen his abilities in a white table cloth environment to better his hotel background. In 2010, he accepted the role as Executive Chef of the new Embassy Suites.
Chef Wesley has a zeal for culinary excellence which is evident in the attention to detail that he shows when creating and preparing menu items for the Hoover Grille such as the delicious Eggplant Parmesan Towers, the Cedar Plank Salmon and crowd favorite, Mama's Meatloaf.
Hoover Grille is open to the public for lunch from 11:00am-1:30pm and for dinner from 5:00pm-9:00pm. In addition to our wonderfully crafted menu, Hoover Grille also features a full bar.
