BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV has been diagnosed with lung cancer after undergoing surgery to remove the lower lobe of his right lung, the Vatican confirms.

The 71-year-old pontiff spent approximately three hours in the operating room, with doctors confirming a form of lung cancer during the procedure. The diagnosis had been suspected before the operation, but doctors now have confirmation.

The Vatican says the surgery was successful and there were no complications.

We often talk about food bringing people together, but tonight, we were reminded of just how powerful a meal can truly be.
After a guest left our restaurant this evening, our team found this beautiful note written on the back of his receipt. He came in to order his late brother’s favorite meal and a couple of margaritas to toast to his memory.
To our anonymous guest: We are deeply moved that you chose our restaurant as the place to remember your brother. It is the absolute highest honor of our jobs to provide a little bit of comfort through the food he loved so much.

Our heart is heavy with the loss of not just a great and fun customer, but a truly sweet friend. 💔

He was the kind of customer who always brought a smile, enjoyed every moment, and always made sure to enjoy his margarita to the very last sip. 🍹❤️
