The Office of Hawaiian Affairs is offering full tuition scholarships for Native Hawaiian Culinary professionals to attend the Kūlana ʻĀina Culinary programs at Kapiʻolani Community College.
Culinary Essentials for Industry Professionals - Cohort 15
Feb. 2-6, 2026, 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Space is limited. Register before Jan. 26 at bit.ly/KulanaAina15.
Applicants for this course must be:
• 18 or older
• a Hawaiʻi resident
• verified of Native Hawaiian ancestry**

The Workforce Development Program is a collaboration between the Culinary Institute of the Pacific (CIP) at Kapi‘olani Community College and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). These cohorts were developed in partnership with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) as part of the Kulana ʻĀina Program.
**Get verified through OHA’s Hawaiian Registry Program (HRP) oha.org/hawaiian-registry and fast-track your HRP application - one of the questions will be “Are you currently applying for an OHA Program?” Select “Yes” and fill in “Kūlana ʻĀina.”
Confirmation of Hawaiian ancestry, regardless of blood quantum, is required to participate in OHA-sponsored programs.
