Nabeya Maido is a restaurant that specializes in authentic Japanese Nabe (hot pot). We create our broths from the traditional style of using Konbu (kelp) and Katsuo Bushi (bonito flakes) for our base soup stock. Hey all you Maido Maniacs out there!

I know I don’t normally do this, but I just wanted to put it out there for one of my crew’s two sons.

Bruddah Mark has been part of da Maido Crew for like 8 1/2 years. Before, throughout, and after Covid he has been helping us out while being a full time elementary teacher.

If anyone is feeling the vibes for some Huli Huli chicken, and wants to support one of da Maido crew, please hit me up or hit Mark up Mark Nakatsuka to order your tickets or arrange pickup that day at Nabeya Maido. I’ll have more information about the pickup window at the shop as we get closer to the fundraiser.

I shouldn’t have sent my “reporter” unsupervised,,, I can’t believe he walked on the concrete, which might have collapsed 🙄

Why is my bozo sometimes a babooze like me🤣. Common sense ain’t so common nowadays 😅. And he never even film the entire roadway which da chainsaw braddahs cleared for the neighborhood.

If anyone knows the two bruddahs who helped with the down trees in our street, please let them know their kindness is truly appreciated!!

Big Mahalos to all da Braddahs who came with the chainsaws to do the heavy cutting to clear the road. Couldn’t wait for the city crews since get fallen trees islandwide and manpower is prolly stretched thin 😪

But, it is always comforting that neighbors can still come together to help each other in times of need 🙏🏼

I sincerely hope that the many posts of people helping people can bring back some of the Aloha spirit that we all need 🤙🏼

Heads up to anyone shopping on FB marketplace or Craigslist for a generator. I got this generator from a customer and took it in for servicing. The fuel tank was shot and was quoted $500 just for the tank replacement before any labor so I decided not to service it.

Anyways, I was gonna give it away, but someone came and took it with them before I could even post. So just wanted to put it out there that if anyone sees it online and were considering purchasing it, make sure that the generator you are buying works. I haven’t filed a police report since it wasn’t locked down and I was gonna get rid of it, but geez man, nothing seems safe nowadays🙄

I don’t know how to get the word out about this, but just wanted for people to be aware.

Bittersweet news today. My sistah and banker American Savings Bank sistah Mel is leaving Mililani branch to become
DA MANAJAH at the Wahiawa branch. I wanted to tell her congratulations, but honestly, I gonna miss her smile and straightforward personality 😪

Yes, I know I can just drive a little more to go visit her, but it was so easy to pop in and out at the Mililani branch😅. Looks like I’m gonna have to do more Mililani/Wahiawa runs so I can drop by to check on

Congratulations sistah!! Hopefully when bruddah Steve retires or gets promoted, you can come back to Mililani, I know choke people going miss you🥰. Maybe I gotta go bother Steve more and give him stress 🤣
