Nabeya Maido is a restaurant that specializes in authentic Japanese Nabe (hot pot). We create our broths from the traditional style of using Konbu (kelp) and Katsuo Bushi (bonito flakes) for our base soup stock. We specialize in helping people enjoy their hot pots the way they should be enjoyed!! Please feel free to ask any of our friendly staff. Just got these delivered!! It’s funny how I used to keep telling people to open an account with so they can take advantage of all the Buy Local merchant discounts💚🤍

And now with help from the ASB “woman who means business” , they actually started something up to add an incentive to opening an account and supporting their friendly neighborhood Buy Local merchants 🤩

So basically, it works like this,

For a personal account, they must use the QR code, enter the promo code on the screen then open a checking account. Once the checking account is opened they must set up direct deposit to qualify for the reward. Direct deposit is for them to attach their payroll to the account.

For a business account, they must use the QR code to fill in a form online. A business banker will contact them and help them open a checking account. They must have an initial deposit of $5k, which must stay in the account for 90 days to qualify for the reward.

Please know that these offers do not start until June 1st.

And if you do decide to open an account, remember to use the promo code when accessing with the QR code💚

My personal advice would be to put the debit card on your phone “wallet” so you don’t always have to carry it around 😉.

If you have any doubts, go to their website and check out the choooke amount of small businesses that they support and decide then😉

So I’m sure you all see my posts about American Savings Bank and their Buy Local Hawaii program.

Rest assured, I am no professional influencer and I only give my honest and straight opinions🤙🏼

If you are a small business (or a bigger business 🤪), and you are open to collaborating, why not check them out? Our personal ASB special is $10 off any purchase above $45 (limited to one per day per card). This is a great way to save your customers some money, get extra visibility for FREE, and possibly even increase your sales 👍🏼👍🏼

Take for example, a customer purchases 2 sukiyakis for $31.50, if they buy another sukiyaki to gift their neighbor, they will receive $10 off their total 🟰 $37.25 ($47.25-10)

,,,annnnnd the best part is the business loses no money as the discounted amount is reimbursed to our account at the end of the month (we do need to submit the number of discounts and the dates they were given 😉)

As another Teacher Appreciation week comes to an end, I’d just like to express my heartfelt gratitude to PrinciPAL Uemae and ALLLLLL the faculty at Nuuanu Elementary for taking care of Taiyo for the past SIX?? years. 🙏🏼

Back then, we were fortunate just to have gotten him into a school closer to both our work places. But then to find out how much they care about the students, and how close the community is, we really were blessed to have Taiyo attend Nuuanu Elementary.

Next year, Taiyo will start his new school life at Kaimuki Middle School. He is looking forward to new faces and new challenges, but we all will miss our Nuuanu Ohana 🥺

Yesterday was a beautiful day!! Really strong winds, but clear blue skies🤙🏼

Played with my Iolani senpais club. Always feels great to be included in their monthly golf outings, and listen to all their stories 🤪

Went out with a lot of confidence having just regripped my Scotty (instead of splurging on the new odyssey I’m thinking of 🤣). Banged the drive, stuck it to 6ft,,,, then BANG, right off the back, 3putt bogey to start my round 🙄. Basically missed 6 putts inside of 8ft. I know it’s not the putter, but the empty coconut between my ears 🤣
Good thing for my side seat navigator James for keeping my spirits high 🤪

Struggled with the driver until I had a one point advice from Dean… which rightened the ship and I was able to shoot a 41-41 and actually WIN da day🤩

,,,guess my handicap is gonna go back down in the near future, but I don’t care at all. My monthly golf with da ‘74 boys is always always enjoyable!! Thanks guys 🙏🏼

Due to the stormy weather conditions, our morning pop up at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua and afternoon pop up at Hawaiian airlines has been cancelled. No sense in having people get wet and possibly sick coming to see me in the rain 😅
