With this coming Saturday the 18th being our last day at the Kaka’ako farmers market we wanted to make sure we got to say a proper thank you to everyone incase you don’t get a chance to come out and see us this weekend.
We cannot thank each and every one of you enough. With your support, we turned our dream into a reality and built a family business that has served thousands of people from all over the world with plant-based food made by our hands, week after week, for over four incredible years.

Stepping away from something that still means so much to us is bittersweet, but it’s time for us to focus on our growing family and navigate this new chapter as a family of four.

We are truly blessed to have had the most amazing customers—your support not only sustained our business but also helped provide for our family, keeping a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs. We’ve also been fortunate to work alongside incredibly talented and loving vendors, many of whom have become family to us. There are no words to fully express the depth of our gratitude for every single one of you.

While we hope to return one day, stronger and better than ever, we are committed to cherishing this precious time and won’t make any promises we can’t keep.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you!

A hui hou,
LA2HI GRINDZ Ohana

Happy Holidays, Ohana!
As most of you can see, we’ve been absent from a lot more markets these past couple of months than we have ever been in the last four years of being in business. (Side note: This month marked our four-year anniversary—woohoo! We literally couldn’t have done this without all of you!)

Because you all are like family, I want to be 100% transparent with you. First of all, this pregnancy has been kicking my butt!

With that being said, I want to be realistic about what our future will look like as we finish out the year. Ideally, I’d love to work the markets and catering up until the day the baby comes, take 1-2 months off, and then come right back. But realistically, that’s not looking like it’s gonna happen.

For now, here’s what I can tell you: I promise we’re doing our best, health permitting, to attend every Saturday market until December 20th, when we’ll be at HONOLULU HALE every single night (or at least try to be) until the end of the year, then returning to the Kakaʻako Farmers Market on January 11th.

As of now, it’s looking like January will be our last month of service to all of you, our beautiful LA2HI GRINDZ community. Our books are currently closed for any future catering bookings. If you’ve already booked with us and put down a deposit, you’re good, and your date is secured. However, all future catering bookings are on hold for now.

This makes me really sad and honestly scared of what life will look like after that. So for now, let’s treat every encounter and every meal served like it could be our last 😭 and really soak up all the time we can.

It’s never really goodbye, but always a hui hou!
