Our first Community Give Back is officially in the books. 🌟

All summer, every Tanabata entrée you ordered sent $1 to . Together, we raised $2,000 to help grant wishes for keiki across Hawaiʻi.

Our co-owners Tony Sato and Tom Jones and our Operations Manager Kimberley Sakuda were honored to present the check to Trini Kaopuiki Clark, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Hawaiʻi. Mahalo, Trini, for having us, and mahalo to every one of you who pulled up a chair and ordered with purpose. Also a big mahalo to James Donnelly of Make-A-Wish Hawai'i for coming along this first journey of ours!

This is just the first chapter of our Turning 25 year of giving. Next up: Order Nattochos or Pokechos through Oct 31, and $1 goes to Surfers Healing. 🌊

Crispy chips. Fresh poke. Zero regrets. 🤙

Pokechos is Tom's signature plate: crunchy chips piled high with poke, avocado, green onion and sesame, built to share (or not, we won't tell).

Through Oct 31, every Pokechos or Nattochos you order sends $1 to Surfers Healing, helping keiki on the autism spectrum catch a wave. 🌊 Same price, same ʻono plate, and the donation's on us.

Dine-in or takeout at Niu Valley, King Street and Pearl City. Tag the friend you're sharing with. 👇

Every plate sends a kid surfing. 🌊🏄

For 25 years, you've let us feed your ʻohana. This fall, we're passing some of that aloha forward.

From now through Oct 31, Gyotaku donates $1 to Surfers Healing for every Nattochos or Pokechos ordered, dine-in or takeout, at Niu Valley, King Street and Pearl City.

Surfers Healing gives keiki on the autism spectrum a free day in the ocean. We've sent bentos to their beach day for years. Now Tom's favorite plate gets to help too.

Same price. Same ʻono plate. The donation's on us.

Grab one with your ʻohana, tag the friend who always orders the chips, and find the details at the link in bio. 🤙

Jumbo Ebi Fry season is back. 🍤

Black tiger shrimp, lightly battered and tossed in fresh nama panko, fried to a crispy golden brown — the kind of crunch you can hear before you taste it.

Two ways to have it: Ebi Fry Teishoku (five pieces with rice, miso soup, salad, and our homemade remoulade) or Ebi Fry & Sashimi, the same five pieces alongside fresh ahi.

Here now through October 31, dine-in or takeout, at all three locations — Niu Valley, King Street, and Pearl City.

UPDATE: Niu Valley location will remain closed all day.

🌀 A quick update: Gyotaku will be closed today from 11am–2pm due to Hurricane Lala. Our team's safety comes first, and we hope you and your ʻohana are staying safe too.

We'll be back open as soon as conditions clear — check back here for updates. Mahalo for your understanding! 🙏

25 years of wishes coming true. 🎋

At our Pearl City location, co-owner Tom Jones chatted with James Donnelly from Make-A-Wish Hawaii Make-A-Wish Hawaii, tanabata wish papers in hand, to talk about something close to our hearts this season.

The tradition: write a wish on paper, hang it on the bamboo tree, and hope it comes true. This year, we’re taking that spirit further — for every Tanabata special you order, Gyotaku is donating $1 to Make-A-Wish Hawaii to help grant wishes for kids facing critical illness right here at home.

As James put it: it’s wishes on the tree, and wishes coming true in Hawaii. That’s a combination we’re proud to be part of, especially as we celebrate 25 years.

Order a Tanabata special, make a wish, and help make someone else’s come true. 🌟

25 years. One incredible community. 🎉

All three Gyotaku locations are celebrating our 25th anniversary — and today we’re marking it at Pearl City with our Tanabata Star Festival wish tree, joined by the Cherry Blossom Festival Hawaii Blossom Queen Aime and Princess Jacqueline.

⭐️Here’s how to celebrate with us: order any of our special Tanabata menu items now through August 31st, and we’ll donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Hawaii for every one.

🎋Then make a wish, write it down, and hang it on our tree — because 25 years in, we still believe in wishes coming true.

This milestone kicks off our Year of Giving Back, and we’re so grateful for our long partnership with the Junior Japanese Chamber program and Cherry Blossom Festival.

Come celebrate with us. 🌸✨

Today marks 25 years of Gyotaku. 🎉

Twenty-five years of sushi, shrimp tenpura, and a whole lot of ohana. We could not have made it this far without the people who’ve been in it with us since day one — our team, our guests, and the vendors who show up for us again and again.

Case in point: some of our vendors took the time to send us a happy anniversary message, and it genuinely made our day. Thank you for being part of this milestone with us — it means more than you know.

Here’s to 25 years, and to everyone who helped us get here. 🐟
