Did y’all know how Heavy’s got its name?

“Heavy” has been Derek’s dad’s nickname since he was a kid and eventually, that nickname became the name behind Heavy’s BBQ. 🔥

Derek’s parents, Heavy (Darryn) and Kim, own and run the Hondo location, and we’re so grateful for all of their support as Derek and I get ready to carry the Heavy’s name into Rio Medina. 💙

Yesterday, the D’Hanis Cowboys football team made their stop with us to fuel up before they traveled to Charlotte for some Friday night football.

Cowboys played hard and came home with the W! Beating the Trojans 58-12! 🏈
