A Kitchen Manager is in charge of coordinating and supervising the SoCal kitchen according to food safety standards. Their duties include Cooking, Operating the cash register, performing quality control on food, ordering from the commissary, and completing inventory to keep up with demand.
SoCal Kitchen Manager duties and responsibilities:
While Kitchen Managers are responsible for a variety of managerial tasks, common duties include:
- Preparing and cooking all foods to standards outlined by SoCal
- Taking verbal orders and operating the cash register as necessary.
- Fulfilling online and delivery orders in a timely fashion.
- Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
- Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
- Working with the owners to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
- Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that sanitation levels are maintained.
