Some posts are easy to write.

This isn’t one of them.

Many of you know Kara from behind the bar at JP’s, and many of you remember Brian from his years with us. To us, they’re more than familiar faces. They’re family.

At just 52 years old, Brian was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s disease after years of searching for answers. A diagnosis like that changes everything, not just for the person hearing it, but for every loved one walking beside them.

Today, Kara, Brian, Emily, Matthew, and the people who love them have chosen to meet that diagnosis with something stronger than fear… hope.

On October 25, 2026, they’ll be walking to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, better treatments, and one day, a cure.

We’re asking our incredible JP’s family to rally behind one of our own.

Whether you can donate, share this post, or simply leave a few words of encouragement, every act of kindness matters. Every share reaches someone new. Every dollar moves the fight forward. Every step reminds this family they are not walking alone.

🇺🇸🍔 We’ll be trading burgers for backyard BBQs and fry baskets for fireworks this weekend. 🎆

JP’s will be closed Saturday & Sunday so our crew can celebrate with family, friends, and a little red, white, and “pass the potato salad.” 🌭🍉🍻
