If there is anything you can do to help out such great people in this terrible tragedy it would be greatly appreciated. Although Jake's may be closed, the great times and wonderful camaraderie we all shared will last forever. Eric was an integral part of the business and still a close friend. Whether it be through thoughts, prayers, or a monetary donation, please do what you can to support this wonderful family in such a time of need.

Although we have been closed now for over a year, we wanted to express our extreme sadness over the passing of our unofficial bar dog "Ruby". Ruby was a mainstay at Jake's with her best friend Ralf Werner. Whether she was doing a trick for a taste of Weissbeer or lounging in what would always seem to be the busiest area of the restaurant, Ruby was never missed. Prost and God speed Ruby, you will certainly be missed as much as you were loved.

Dear friends and family of Jakes on the Beach,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, generosity and kindness the last three years. It has been incredible and humbling. You have all become a second family to Meghan and I. The arrival of Holly into our lives has shifted our focus to the future of our family and what our priorities are going forward. With that in mind we have decided it is the right time for us to move onto the next chapter in our lives. It is beyond bittersweet to announce that we have sold Jake's. We will try to reach out to everyone individually but we wanted to make the first statement before the rumor mill started. This will be our last weekend operating as Jakes on the Beach. We would like to invite everyone to come throw one last party on the beach with us. We will be having AMAZING food and drink specials. We hope to see all of you!

I was looking at the sand and wondered what's the best "sand castle" creation anyone has ever made. I'm sure it's called sand art but if you're using sand and water, it's a sand castle.
