Sebastiano “Seb” Vona, beloved husband and father, died tragically at the age of 59 on Friday, September 10th of COVID 19-related complications.

Hi everyone. My name is Eddie and I am organizing this GoFundMe for my family. As many of you know, my father, Sebastiano Vona, is currently in the ICU on a ventilator due to severe complications from Covid-19. Slowly but surely, he is fighting hard to heal and come home as soon as he can and his doctors and nurses are doing everything within their power to make it happen. For any of you who have visited Sebastiano's Restaurant during our 37 years in Hollywood, you must feel as we do how sad and strange it is to see the restaurant darkened, and know that Seb is not back there in the kitchen cooking the delicious dishes we all love. This has been a very difficult time for all of us, particularly my mother, Maria, who has been sick with worry. And so I am reaching out and asking our incredible community to help support my family.

Many of you have been asking how you can support my family during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers and devoted check-ins have been such a source of strength for my family and we feel extremely blessed to have been part a such an incredible supportive community for more than 35 years. If it is within your means to give in this way as well, we would be so grateful. We look forward to the day when we can see you all again and serve you a big slice of pizza made by the man himself.
