The Smoked & Loaded Potatoes are back.

Is there really anything else we need to talk about? 😂

Probably not… but apparently we’re supposed to mention that it’s Thursday, we’re OPEN, and the smokers are loaded for another week.

🥔 Smoked & Loaded Potatoes are officially back for the season — smoked potato loaded with butter, cheddar, Mac cheese, house-made bacon, sour cream, chives and BBQ sauce.

Then choose your meat: Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken, Smoked Sausage or Brisket.

That brisket one in the picture is basically a baked potato that gave up on pretending to be a side dish.

We’ve had a bunch of people asking over the last few weeks when these were coming back — today’s the day.

We start with a big baked potato, rubbed with olive oil & salt and smoked until tender. Then we load it up:

🧀 Shredded cheddar
🧀 Our house Mac Cheese sauce
🥓 Bacon made right here — no bagged bacon bits, because absolutely not.
🥛 Sour cream
🌿 Chives
🔥 Your choice of BBQ sauce

Yeah… it’s gonna be one of those Saturdays. ☔️

Gray, wet, chilly and generally miserable outside — which sounds like a pretty good excuse for a big plate of BBQ.

We start with a pile of our Famous Mac n Cheese, add your choice of smoked meat, then layer on Pit Beans + Coleslaw and finish the whole mess with your choice of BBQ sauce.

This is one of the parts of Crackersnacks that means the most to us.

We’ve been humbled to feed a TON of local athletes over the last couple years — Fenton to Holly, and now Waterford Kettering, thanks to a couple of my hardworking nephews. 🏈

Young athletes need fuel, and we’re pretty proud to give them high-quality, CLEAN protein — hand-trimmed meat, our own rubs, clean hardwood smoke, and no shortcuts.

Big thank you to Waterford Kettering Football for letting us take care of the JV team unity meal this week. We appreciate the shoutout, but even more, we appreciate getting the opportunity to feed these kids.

Summer’s starting to wind down, comfort-food season is creeping back in, and some days there are problems only a Brisket Grilled Cheese can solve.

This is a pretty cool full-circle moment for me.

I graduated from Holly High School in 2000. Earlier this year, I somehow found myself standing in front of a room full of Holly Middle School students talking about entrepreneurship, business ownership, and the reality of running Crackersnacks BBQ.

I was invited by a former teacher of mine, which made the whole thing even more meaningful. I went in hoping maybe something I said would stick with one or two kids — because I still remember a handful of things teachers said to me more than 25 years ago.

I ended up writing about the experience for the holly post, and they were kind enough to publish it.

Crackersnacks has always been about more than selling BBQ. We live here. We went to school here. We’re raising our family here. And if this little BBQ business gives me an opportunity to give something back to the same community that helped shape me, that’s pretty damn cool.

Thanks to The Holly Post for giving me a little ink, and to Holly Area Schools for inviting me back.

And yes… judging by the article, the candied bacon and honey cornbread muffins may have been more memorable than anything I actually taught them. 😂

There’s a whole lot going on around Holly this weekend — the Michigan Renaissance Festival is rolling, and Holly Days is happening downtown today and tomorrow. Basically, if you’re looking for an excuse to get out of the house, Holly’s got you covered.

Whatever brings you to our awesome little town, stop in and fuel up before you head out. Good, clean, scratch-made food and real hardwood-smoked BBQ will do a hell of a lot more for a long day of walking around than whatever questionable decision you make later. 😂

25 years ago today. 🇺🇸

We’re not going to make a big promotional post today. September 11th deserves a little more reflection than that.

It has been 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001, and today we remember the Americans we lost, the families whose lives changed forever, and the first responders who answered the call that day — along with those who continue doing it every day.

Today, all first responders receive 15% off at Crackersnacks for window orders and Call-ins. Nothing complicated about it. Just our small way of saying thank you for continuing to show up for the communities you serve.

The pictures we chose today are intentional, too.

One is about eating local. The other is a family meal.

Because those things matter to us.

We live here. We raise our families here. We spend our money here. We support other local businesses here. We help each other when we can. And at the end of the day, sitting down and sharing a meal with the people you love is still one of the simplest and most important things we get to do.
