Hello fellow hunters!
Let's talk about the new DNR E-harvest tags and bringing your deer to your local processor. While some hunters may find e-tags convenient, there may be some gray area on when a physical tag is required or not.

For example, DeerDash utilizes a 24 hour cooler, which would fall under the third bullet point and not the fourth. The third bullet point states that your deer must be physically tagged if unattended by you. Doing so ensures that we are able to identify your deer. Having a physical tag and electronic instructions allows us to keep the owner and deer together. Plus, the DNR still requires processors to keep track of all tag numbers for all deer.

Please make sure any deer dropped off have both a physical tag and electronic instructions submitted. Thank you all and happy hunting!
