We’re excited to bring Kitchen 55 out and meet some new faces! We’re planning to be open from 5 PM–9 PM, so come grab some dinner, check out the menu, and say hi!

Here we are with another week! First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who sent words of encouragement and reached out to offer a helping hand with our truck repairs last week. 🧡 Your support means more to us than you know!

Thankfully, we still managed to have a great Saturday at the car show and a fantastic Sunday over at Farmhaus C***r! We appreciate everyone who came out to see us.🐔

We’re closed today but we’re coming out Tuesday for lunch in West Olive. Thursday night you can find us back over in Hudsonville. This Saturday we will be staying in town and cooking on the north side of Holland! And then Sunday we’re taking a quick trip up to Grandville.

Guess who’s back on the road? We’re back in action today, a big thank you to Gemini Services for getting us back up and running.

Today is a special day, we are going to be apart of the Sawyer Schipper memorial foundation car show over at Ridge Point Church this afternoon. Come enjoy an absolutely beautiful October day. Take a look at the cars there should be one for everyone to enjoy. Don’t forget to add some chicken and hand cut fries to your day! See you there!

We aren’t gonna be able to be at Tanglewood tonight, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying some awesome food and some great w**e! Tell them we said hi and try the spicy pork bowl!

We just received the notice and are happy to add a new dinner stop to our schedule today! We’ll be at Tanglewood W**ery from 4–8 PM tonight. 🍷

Our good friends at Kitchen 55 unfortunately can’t make it tonight due to a mechanical issue. We’re really sorry to hear that and hope they can get everything fixed soon. As small business owners ourselves, we know how frustrating and stressful unexpected truck issues can be.

So while you’ll have to wait a little longer for their signature chicken sandwiches, we’d be happy to keep you fed with some Asian comfort food tonight! If you’re at Tanglewood and looking to try something a little different, come say hi and grab some dinner from us.

Ohhh, the roller coaster of owning your own business.

There are some REALLY awesome days, and then there are days that seem to pile one thing on top of another. Unfortunately, the last 24 hours have been one of those days. 😅

It started with the headache of, “How? Why did my cooler come unplugged?”🤦🏼‍♂️ We got that situation sorted out while restocking the truck, and things finally seemed to settle down as we headed out to serve at the fall festival.

Then, on the drive home last night, the truck decided it wasn’t quite done testing us. We started having fuel issues, and I tried to limp us home just to keep things moving. After the engine shut down for the second time somewhere between Allendale and Holland, we decided it was time to wave the white flag. 🏳️

So, the truck is now sitting with our mechanic, and unfortunately, unexpected repairs and shop time were NOT on the schedule this week.

Because of that, we will not be able to make our lunch service today at Ottawa County Community Mental Health. We’re truly sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us and grabbing lunch with us today. 🧡

As for tonight at Tanglewood W**ery, we just don’t know yet. We’re hoping to get some good news from the mechanic and get back out there to play.

We’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we know more.

Thanks for being patient with us, understanding the occasional chaos of running a food truck, and continuing to support our little family business. 🧡

Well the sun is shining and it appears to be a perfect evening for the fairhaven.church fall festival in Allendale. We were so exited to launch a new menu today, we were busy gearing up for a perfect evening just to find that our cooler somehow came unplugged. Unfortunately we lost quite a bit of product. We are trying to recover as quickly as possible but unfortunately we are going to have to run a limited menu this evening on short notice. We are super sorry for the inconvenience but are excited to serve you fresh quality food you have come to know and expect from Kitchen 55. It’s a perfect evening for chicken sammies and hand cut fries🧡

😳😬 I never posted yesterday! I got caught up in a baby shower and then a super busy day over at Farmhaus C***r. If you tracked us down there, we seriously appreciate you! 🧡 And if you had a chance to try us yesterday, we hope you enjoyed it!

It’s looking like a beautiful fall day today, and we’re going to soak up every bit of that sunshine over in Grandville at The Grand Castle Apartment Homes☀️

We’ll be serving up your favorite hand-cut fries and award-winning chicken sandwiches from 1:00–7:00 PM. 🍟🐔

So come enjoy the beautiful weather, treat yourself to some seriously good food, and let us handle lunch (or dinner 😉).

GRAB YOUR READING GLASSES — THIS IS A LONG ONE! MORE THAN JUST A WEEKLY SCHEDULE!

We cannot thank you all enough for the continued support and love you’ve shown Kitchen 55. Whether you’re one of our social media supporters or one of our weekly regulars, we appreciate every single one of you more than you know!

We’ve been serving the West Michigan Lakeshore for almost 4 years now, and for most of that time, we’ve remained fully operational through just about every season Michigan can throw at us. Heat waves, Arctic blasts, rain or shine, and even the occasional blizzard couldn’t keep us away for long!💪🏻

As a small family business, I’ve always tried to keep the truck rolling and stay open as much as possible. But this year, things are going to look a little different.

I am BEYOND excited to announce that my wife and I are expecting our first child! 🧡👶🏼

Our little girl will be making her grand entrance sometime in the next month or so, and while November is still a little ways away, I wanted to give everyone plenty of time to track us down, grab some food, and enjoy some Kitchen 55 before we take a little break.

When that phone call comes… I gotta go! 😂

Because of that, we aren’t scheduling the truck too heavily around that time. I’d rather leave ourselves some flexibility than book a bunch of events and potentially have to cancel them at the last minute.

Once she arrives, I’m going to take some time away from the truck to spend with my wife, our new daughter, and family before we eventually crack open that service window again.

So, with all that being said…

Every sandwich and every order of fries you grab from us over the next month or so is basically helping me put a diaper on my daughter. 🧡🤣

Seriously though, thank you. Whether you’ve followed along from the beginning, stop by every week, share our posts, recommend us to your friends, or simply cheer us on from your phone — you’re a huge part of why Kitchen 55 is still here.

We’ve got plenty more fries to cut, sandwiches to make, and people to serve before this soon to be Dad takes a temporary leave of absence. 😂
