Goodbye Blue hello JT's! Today we had City inspection and passed on everything except one Minor detail that will be reinspected on Monday. Health department inspection also moved to Monday! It is most definitely looking like a promising opening Tuesday! We are so excited! ❤️❤️

🚨💥🚨💥🚨Hey y'all! So! We have three events left of the season. Because we are opening our restaurant on September 1st we will not be booking the food truck past that date so we can put all our energy into our restaurant! So catch us at these three places this week! down below 👇

Friday catch us at First United Methodist Church of Crown Point for their Vet Rock fest. From 6-10:30pm. See flyer for deets!

Saturday we will see you at heartthrob put on by Ready To Live so many amazing artist! Gates open at 4:00 or maybe five not sure lol. Check out who all is going to be there below 👇

And last but not least Sunday come see us at the Valparaiso car show and swap meet put on by Halliar Enterprises LLC his car shows are always the BEST!

We have a private event today but head on over to founders square! ❤️

I hope that you will join the gathering tomorrow over at Founders Square to come and celebrate our recovery process. There will be prayer, free food from great restaurants and organizations, co****le and other games, music, and a chance to get outside the house and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with new and old friends and neighbors. This is NOT a celebration of power being back on, and it never was meant to be. This event was first planned back when it was looking likely that most of Portage might still not have had power by this Saturday. - This is a celebration of our city's people, who came together to take care of each other after the hurricane, and the progress we have made and will keep making as a community together.

If you are not in a place where you are ready to come and celebrate anything, I understand. I have also been struggling with that feeling throughout the last two weeks. But I keep coming back to remembering hoe I taught my students for years as a teacher about the importance of giving ourselves breaks and taking time to celebrate steps in a process being completed so we're not too tired by the time it's all actually done, and I believe the same thing is true of our city’s recovery.

This event is about taking a break and celebrating hiw far we have made it as a people with free food, music, games, prayer, and fellowship with our neighbors. There will be an opportunity to celebrate the process being all finished up, but this is our first brain break.*
