From the beginning, our goal has been to provide our customers with only the best in baked goods—best in quality, flavor, freshness, and design. We still used our family’s original formulas for our signature items thumbprint cookies, almond-flavored white cake, chocolate chip cookie cakes, cheese straws, coconut macaroons, chocolate cake, danish, cream cheese icing, and buttercream icing. Other ba

kery products and recipes have come and gone, but these original family recipes are still the most popular. The Ainsworth family has owned and operated Federal Bake Shop since 1974. We have always been a Hixson bakery serving the greater Chattanooga area and beyond. We started in the Northgate Mall in 1974 and have been in our current Hixson location since 1994. I think one reason people keep coming to us year after year is that the quality of our baked goods never diminishes. We keep up with current themes and favorites, but our business is based on those tried and true family recipes.
