It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our longtime chef, breakfast master, and dear friend, Richie Daniels, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Richie was not only a major part of Stars’ success—he was the creative force behind what made us a true breakfast destination. If you’ve ever joined us on a Sunday morning over the last 30 years, you likely knew Richie and experienced his incredible food. There isn’t a single person who has worked at Stars whose life Richie didn’t touch in some way.

He was so much more than a coworker. Richie was kind, funny, dedicated, and took immense pride in his craft. He was always the first to offer a warm smile or a helping hand whenever it was needed. Stars is a better place because of him, and his absence will be felt deeply.

Please keep his family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts. And if you feel moved to honor Richie, do something kind for someone today—that’s exactly what he would do, and exactly what he would want.

Rest easy, Richie. We love you, we miss you.
