It is with a heavy heart that I announce Qazi’s Kitchen is halting all food truck operations and the business is closed until further notice. This decision did not come lightly but it was the only logical outcome for me to make.
To my loyal customers, I am forever grateful for the love and support that you gave to me and my family while patronizing my business. You allowed me to fulfill my dream as a restauranteur in serving you my family’s recipes.
To my friends, you all kept my spirits high when times got tough and you helped me through the darkness when I kept getting knocked down. Many of you volunteered time, energy, and labor to help this food truck operate. I’ll never forget the generosity you’ve shown me.
To my family, words cannot express how thankful I am for you all. My cousins, aunties, father, and grandmother (may she rest in peace) all helped me perfect their recipes and cooking methods that my customers all got to enjoy. My sister helped me by working on the truck for some busy events and I got to watch as she started her own business and began to work a vendor stall alongside my truck every Monday. My mother, who is my biggest fan and hype woman, sacrificed so much to help me become the man I am today. Mom did it all; from raising me and my sister as a single mother, to helping me through college, to cheering me on at sporting events, bailing me out when I didn’t have two pennies to rub together, to working until the wee hours of the morning to help me prep for big events, and even working on the truck when I was really in a bind. Mom did it all. I love you all.
To my wife, you have been my rock, my reason to keep pushing forward. You have stuck by my side through this whole journey, and you were pregnant and working on the food truck up until the day you went into labor. I’ll never forget the love and support you’ve given me. And of course I can’t ever thank you enough for giving me the best gift of all, our beautiful daughter. I love you both with all my heart.
While the food truck is no more, Qazi’s Kitchen will return one day. I look forward to serving you all again.
