Tomorrow we reopen for our final three days at Short N Sweet Hilo.

And these are some of the last whole cakes that will leave this kitchen.

Flavors we've made for birthdays, celebrations, dinners, office parties, and all those ordinary days that somehow became special because there was cake.

We have only a handful available.

This one made me smile.

KHON2 recently asked readers and viewers where they find the best cheesecake on each island, and Short N Sweet Bakery & Café was named as one of the Hawaiʻi Island favorites.

I don’t take things like this for granted.

There are so many talented bakers and wonderful places to eat on this island, so knowing that people thought of us—and actually took the time to recommend us—means more than I can say.

Thank you, Hilo, for continuing to show up for us.

And if you suddenly have cheesecake on the brain after reading this… I cannot be held responsible.
