Thank you all! Our hearts are full of all these awesome comments....
please continue to let us fill your hearts with kindness and your ears with great music and your cups with your favorite drink!

Where vinyl meets vanilla lattes.

Tucked away in downtown Hillsdale, Checker Records is the kind of place that reminds you why small-town Michigan is so special. Grab a coffee, flip through thousands of records, and slow life down for a while.

What makes this place even better are the people behind it. Owners John and Robin have created more than just a record store—they’ve built a welcoming gathering place where music lovers, coffee drinkers, and friendly conversation all come together. Their passion and hospitality are a big part of what makes Checker Records such a Michigan treasure.

If you’re ever exploring southern Michigan, this is one stop you’ll be glad you made.

Have you ever stopped into Checker Records?
