We’re continuing our countdown to the Hillsboro Art Walk 20th Anniversary Sticker Celebration by introducing you to one of the talented local artists selected to create an anniversary sticker!
Rylie Mortensen, who is based in Hillsboro, created sticker design “Beautiful Insect” with the following inspiration: "This design was a culmination of different inspirations but mostly the want to draw something colorful. In spring there's sunshine and also plenty of rain, I see more rainbows this time a year than any other. I wanted the butterfly to be bright and fun to look at The butterfly itself is based off a common species found in Oregon - the Pacific Fritillary. There's also "Hillsboro" spelled out in the wings because ."
On September 1st, during the Hillsboro Art Walk on First Tuesday, you can find this sticker exclusively at Pizzario located at 337 E Main Street. Pizzario is a lively downtown destination serving up delicious wood-fired pizzas and fresh salads, along with a great selection of craft beers, wine, and cocktails. With live music adding to the atmosphere, Pizzario is a wonderful place to gather with friends, enjoy a meal, and soak up the energy of downtown Hillsboro.
