With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we have made the difficult decision to close The Lodge on Main. Our last day of regular operations will be Friday, April 25th. Additionally, we will be closed this weekend (April 12th and 13th) and next weekend as well.
This decision has not come easily, and it truly breaks our hearts. Our incredible team has consistently gone above and beyond, and we could not be more grateful for their dedication and hard work. Many of our valued team members have part-time commitments and understandably require flexibility, which has made consistent staffing increasingly challenging. Additionally, our manager, Beth Young, who has been the cornerstone of The Lodge since day one, is looking forward to semi-retirement. Beth, we can't thank you enough for your incredible energy, exceptional knowledge, and unwavering dedication.
We also want to announce that we are working toward reopening The Abbey on Broad in early May, and we look forward to seeing many familiar faces there. Some of our valued staff from The Lodge will join us at The Abbey to continue providing excellent food and service.
We genuinely love our customers and this wonderful community, and it deeply saddens us to feel like we're letting you down. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, your smiles, your friendships, and your countless visits over the last couple of years.
Although regular dining service will end, The Lodge building will continue to be available for private event rentals, and our popular Thursday night Bingo will continue as usual, including our special Bingo menu.
Any outstanding gift cards can be used at The Abbey moving forward or at The Lodge on Main over the next couple of weeks.
If anyone in our community is interested in taking over The Lodge on Main, we would warmly welcome that conversation.
Thank you again to our amazing staff and incredible customers. This is not goodbye, just a heartfelt "see you soon" as we shift our focus to The Abbey.
With deepest appreciation,
Jim & Kelly Hewitt
