This Mother’s Day is different this year, beware,this is going to be a long post.

Since the beginning of 2026, things haven’t been as peachy as they may seem. I don’t like sharing personal stuff here. I try to stay professional and keep the focus on the coffee. But I’m opening up and being vulnerable, because I feel like transparency matters. This is what it actually looks like to be a business owner.

I have been dealing with health issues behind the scenes. On top of that, we’ve seen a major slowdown in retail sales so far in 2026 and our foot traffic has been declining. Our wholesale program has seen growth and we are partnering with new businesses, which has been a bright spot.

Keeping the shop open to the public comes with overhead that has to be covered.

Right now, our bills are outpacing our income. If you’ve ever loved a cup of coffee from us, wanted to see us still here, now is the time. Come in. Grab a bag. Tell a friend. Every single purchase matters more right now than you know.

This weekend I got to witness something truly special, the wedding of Justin and Sarah, two people I’ve had the privilege of knowing since the very beginning of their love story.

They’ve been loyal customers and supporters of Roasted by Mom from early on, and over the years they’ve become so much more than that. Watching them go from their first days together to saying “I do” has been one of the greatest gifts.

Hello from Colorado 🏔️

As much as I would love to be here on vacation, I’m actually here with our new client doing barista training and get the setup to open their shop in a few weeks. It’s my first time visiting the state and it is so beautiful here. I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to share the knowledge and tools to efficiently create a great cup of coffee.

While I’m gone the shop is still open serving drinks and bags of beans in stock, I have some great people covering during my absence. Thank you to for being the boots on the ground.
