Hi folks,

First, we'll have our normal food distribution this Saturday, April 18th from 9-10am. Please don't be late, as we are packed up and done by 10am. We're located at 12430 Scaggsville Road, Highland, MD 20777.

Some of you knew my mom, Momma Jean, when she helped with our food pantry years ago. She passed suddenly in her sleep Friday morning. She always said God told her she would die in her sleep, so I guess she was right. Please keep our family in your prayers.

If you see me this Saturday at the food pantry, just give me a hug. If you say "I'm sorry to hear about your Mom", I may burst out crying. So please give me grace by just giving me a hug. This is a tough time for all of us.

To the clients that come to us: if you arrive and I (Carol), see kids not in their car seats or buckled up, I will stop your vehicle and request you buckle up the kids before moving forward. It’s Maryland law to have kids strapped in, and you too.

You would regret not taking the 30 seconds to strap the kids in if you were in an accident. That’s the truth.

The Open Doors Food Pantry is open the 3rd Saturday of each month.

2026 dates: January 17th, February 21st, March 21st, April 18th, May 16th, June 20th, July 18th, August 15th, September 19th, October 17th, November 21st, December 19th.

Drive-thru pick up from 9:00 - 10:00 am.
