Dearest Kepley's Barbecue. I truly don't even know were to start. Like so many people in your 77 years of service, I have come to love your barbecue and red slaw. You have been a large part of my life for over 50yrs. My mother was from High Point and every year we would travel to North Carolina for our annual family reunion. and without fail our first meal would be your barbecue. Now as an adult, every time I would find myself traveling south Kepleys would always be on my mind and I would have to divert to come see you and get some of your Barbecue. I still find it hard to believe that will no longer be a part of my life. When I found out you would be closing after 77 years on the 8th, I know I had to make the 6hr drive to come and share in your store one last time. I did make the drive down on the 6th. I arrived at 930 am and grabbed a few pictures and sat on your lot and watch all the people that showed up to say their last goodbye to a big part of their lives. Even as I sit here typing this, I find it hard to believe you will no longer be a part of my life. I do wish you would share your recipes for your red slaw and barbecue sauce so I could continue to enjoy it and share it with my family. I do wish you all the best in what ever you do moving forward. Just know you left a life long mark on my life. I do hope you take a moment to respond to this IM just so I can have some comfort in knowing you know just how much of a mark you left on so many.
