Today is the day. We hand over the keys to strangers to take over the building. If it didn’t feel real while telling everyone goodbye it certainly feels real now. I walked into a completely empty restaurant today and it no longer felt like home. Over the weekend I found myself causally thinking I would take my son to eat at maxs for lunch while running errands in hickory, then I was hit with the heartbreak feeling of not being able to anymore. A lot of people keep asking ‘does it feel real?’, well today the answer is yes. After today I will no longer pull into this parking lot and be greeted by this sign.…

So today I’m signing off, this page will be here for memories, and we will cherish these memories that we’ve made with all of our customers throughout the 40+ years of business.
