It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of our beloved Electrofreeze machine, estimated to have been approximately 40 years old.
For decades, she served soft serve with determination, attitude, and absolutely no regard for whether we were busy.
She was best known for our specialty flavors, her unpredictable temperament, and making it abundantly clear when she simply did not feel like working that day.
Her hobbies included making strange noises, requiring constant attention, testing our patience, and somehow continuing to operate despite being old enough to have grandchildren.
After a long and occasionally successful career, she was officially retired from service and has since been carted off to the great equipment graveyard in the sky.
She is survived by our Taylor machine, several freezers, and a staff who can finally stop asking, “What’s wrong with it now?”
Rest easy, old girl. You’ll be missed, but your mechanical breakdowns will not.
And while no one could ever truly replace her… we may have already started interviewing candidates. 👀🍦
