Homer Davenport Days 2026-
It is with great disappointment that we share we will not be a vendor at the 2026 Silverton Homer Davenport Community Festival.
This wasn’t an easy decision. Silverton is our hometown, and Olde Tyme Kettle Korn has proudly served Homer Days for nearly 13 years. We’ve loved seeing familiar faces every year, handing out samples, and sharing kettle corn with so many wonderful customers. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.
We want to be transparent about why we made this decision.
Beginning last year, the Homer Days committee changed its vendor policy to allow multiple vendors selling the same products. We respect that it’s their event and their decision, but after experiencing the financial impact last year and learning the same policy would continue this year, we chose to withdraw our application. We also want people to know this wasn’t just limited to us. Several longtime, loyal food vendors, were also affected by this change.
From our perspective, allowing multiple vendors to sell the same specialty products doesn’t benefit the vendors. The committee still collects vendor fees regardless of how individual vendors perform, while small businesses are left competing against one another for the same customers. After seeing the impact firsthand last year, we decided it was best to invest our time and resources in events that continue to value vendor loyalty and limit direct competition.
After nearly 13 years of supporting Homer Days, this decision was heartbreaking. We have always enjoyed being part of the festival and sincerely hope the event will once again prioritize the loyal vendors who have helped make it a tradition for so many years. If those policies change in the future, we would love the opportunity to return to our hometown festival.
Most importantly, thank you to every customer who has stopped by our booth over the years. Whether you bought a bag, grabbed a sample, or simply told us you could smell the kettle corn from across the park, you helped make this journey so special. Without your support, Olde Tyme Kettle Korn wouldn’t be where it is today.
You can still find us this summer at:
• Cruisin' Sherwood Sherwood Cruisers – Saturday, August 8 (over 20,000 attendees… and yes, we’ll be the only kettle corn vendor 😉)
• Corvallis Fall Festival – September 26 & 27
We’d love for you to stop by and say hello!
Have a safe and wonderful rest of your summer. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.
Take care, and God bless!
