❤️ Showing Up. For Family. For Friends. For Community.
A little personal note from Jennifer today. ❤️
I’ve been looking back through years of photographs lately, and one thing keeps standing out to me.
David has always been someone who shows up.
He shows up for our family. For our children and grandchildren. For the early mornings, long days, and late nights that come with running a small business. For school activities, community events, celebrations, and those everyday moments when someone simply needs a helping hand.
And he’s been showing up for our neighbors here in Hendersonville for years.
When we opened Lili Bella’s Bakery in 2019, we never imagined how much this little stone cottage would come to mean to our family.
We don’t have extended family living here in Tennessee. But somewhere along the way, something beautiful happened.
Our customers became our friends. Our neighbors became our extended family. ❤️
So many of you have become the honorary aunts, uncles, and grandparents our children don’t have living nearby. You’ve watched our girls grow up, celebrated milestones with us, shared your family stories, and sometimes just stopped in for a few minutes of conversation over a cinnamon roll.
And we’ve been blessed to be part of your lives, too.
When I look back at pictures from Taste of Hendersonville, Santa Cop, Light Up the Night, school activities, and countless memories inside our bakery, I don’t just see events.
I see people. I see friendships. I see the community that has become our family.
And so often, there’s David, right in the middle of it all.
Many of you know him as our cinnamon roll guy. But behind that familiar face is a husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and small-business owner whose experience extends well beyond our bakery.
Before Lili Bella’s, David gained professional experience working with national and international companies. Today, he also understands firsthand what it means to manage a family business, work through challenges, care for employees, serve customers, and make decisions that affect the people who depend on you.
Our home and our bakery are both right here in Hendersonville’s Ward 2.
When David decided to run for alderman, I knew it wasn’t about a title or recognition. It was about the place we’ve chosen to call home, the community where we’ve raised our children, and the neighbors who have become such an important part of our lives.
I believe his desire to serve comes from the same place in his heart that has always made him show up for the people around him.
