McFarlans is an authentic "made from scratch" bakery, one of the only few left in America today. Because we believe modern technology and short cuts don't always make better quality, better tasting baked goods, we continue to use the same recipes the ole timers used at this bakery

When life throws you a curve ball, you hit it out of the park 😍 CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM Cream Horns!? Yes, PLEASE! We had some supply issues with a special ingredient for our usual cream horn filling. Maybe it’s not such a tragedy because these chocolate cream horns are 🔥😍🔥 Don’t wait on these though because they will not last!

These will take you back to a simpler time. Made from scratch with real honey, citrus fruits and coconut. A great addition to a tea party or just gobbled up real quick so you don’t have to share (my personal favorite 😝). An excellent pick me up for a rainy week. These sticky buns are buttery, sticky, sweet and nutty. Perfect warmed for a few seconds in the microwave and consumed with a hot cup of coffee or tea. They will bring a bit of brightness to your day. They run out fast though so come by early or order ahead! What is your favorite bakery treat for a rainy day?

Banana cream pie - made fresh by special order only. These beautiful pies don’t last in the case so we make them as close to pick up as possible. Fresh bananas. Vanilla custard. Whipped topping. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there! McFarlan Bakery has been stewarded by many fathers over the years, we are thankful for every one of them! We are especially thankful for dads that are making things happen at the bakery today. Come by and pick up a treat to celebrate with the Fathers in your life this weekend! Cheese Danish doesn’t last long, so come by as soon as you can!

I asked one of the front of house staff to pull a cake for me to take pictures of and they chose this stunner. 😍😍 I hated all my photos when I got home (my 4yo was helping and I was rushing) but I couldn’t keep this beauty hidden despite my disappointment in my photography skills. 😅 Our cake decorators are amazing. You can often find cakes like this pre made and ready to go (no promises though, they don’t last long). They can make almost any inspiration into a beautiful cake. I say almost anything because while ai is helpful for a lot of things in life…its cake decorating skills are out of this world, literally reaching for the stars 😂 Our decorators do their best to recreate some awesome ideas, but they have real human limits, and we only work in buttercream (no fondant or modeling chocolate). What they CAN do with buttercream though, absolutely outrageous (in a good way).

If you need a cake for a special occasion, we make cakes in multiple sizes, flavors, fillings and icings. We usually only need 48 hours advance notice for special sizes and flavors. If you need a cake for a holiday or special weekend we suggest ordering at least a week ahead, if not more. If you find yourself with a urgent need we have a case full of options in 6” and 8”. Mmmmm now I want cake. 🤤

I often think about what it was like almost 100 years ago when people were visiting the bakery. A slower world, a simpler time. Ginger molasses is a timeless classic. The chewy, rich molasses flavor paired with crunchy sugar is one of my favorite moments in the bakery. Every bite of a molasses cookie takes me back to summers at the lake or Christmas celebrations. This black and white photo highlights the incredible texture of our Ginger Molasses cookie.
