It utilizes original recipes to make classic donuts, cookies, breads, pastries, cakes, pies and other seasonal items. McFarlans is an authentic "made from scratch" bakery, one of the only few left in America today. Because we believe modern technology and short cuts don't always make better quality, better tasting baked goods, we continue to use the same recipes the ole timers used at this bakery 60 to 80 years ago. We invite you to come in and try the old fashioned baked in goodness of years past. We thank all of our customers for coming in-we really do appreciate your business.

It’s raining, we have feelings…. Some of them are love for these delicious pumpkin cake donuts…others are dread and remembering a harder time. We are open today and we are watching the weather closely so we can make sure our staff can all get home without much trouble. We will post if we decide to close early! Be safe everyone and come on by and grab a treat if you are feeling adventurous! These pumpkin donuts are certainly worth it 😆

Pumpkin is everywhere in October! We have pumpkin pie squares, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread with or w/o cream cheese icing, pumpkin pie sour cream pastries, pumpkin muffins (not pictured) and pumpkin cake donuts -out today (not pictured)!!

Did you know pumpkin puree changes consistency from year to year and even between batches? 😱 This makes pumpkin season extra challenging and a little bit fun because we constantly have to tweak things to make sure everything comes out just right.

The snap says it all. These hand made beauties are tender, crisp and melt in your mouth good. Made the same way for almost 100 years! They are perfect with a cup of tea or as a sweet little snack. Come by and treat yourself to a little bite of history.

These soft, fluffy donuts were so fun to pull apart. Our yeast donuts are just the right amount of sweet and savory. Our glaze is made from scratch right in the bakery (no fillers to keep the glaze from cracking 😆). It is so good. Just the right amount of sweetness to complement the soft goodness of the donut. My life is currently filled with photo shoots during nap time, which means we had all the leftovers at home. I was hungry after this shoot!! Come out and grab your favorite donut today! Before they are gone. ☺️ Happy Saturday!

Reminder, we will be closed tomorrow (Sunday) and Sundays going forward. It was so fun to see everyone on Sundays for a while!

Throwing a little sunshine your way on this gloomy day. Our Lemon Meringue Pie is bright and delicate and practically melts in your mouth. A perfect pie to brighten anyone’s day! Come on by to pick one up or give us a call to order one for the weekend!

This weekend is Art on Main! We are going to wrap up our Sunday hours this weekend and return to our regular schedule starting next week. This will be our last Sunday for the summer/fall! So come on out and enjoy some baked goods and walk the festival!

Pumpkin squares are here! No cozier way to start the FALL than a hot beverage and a pastry. We are looking forward to the cooler weather and the leaves changing! If you are waiting on our other pumpkin delights, we will be rolling them out in early October. What’s your favorite fall treat?

Carmel Apple Spice Cake is back in the case! Available in 6” and 8” daily and for larger sizes by special order. This cake is moist, flavorful and packed with fall vibes. Perfect for any occasion!
