Earth Day is a moment to recognize the importance and fragility of our planet. Our environmental health as a globe is critical to our long-term survival as a species. In general our impact as humans on our planet is enormous, and in the long-run not sustainable. Our resources do have a finite limit. Some are renewable, some are not.

Since our founding in 2011. Dragonfly’s mission has been to source coffees from small farms & farming cooperatives that focus on environmental stewardship and ecological preservation of those farming regions. Many running sustainable energy programs across the processing mills or drying stations, recycling processing waste and even implementing carbon capture initiatives.

Earth Day is a reminder that even small daily choices—like how we drink our coffee—can have a real environmental impact. From the way beans are grown to how they’re roasted and brewed, coffee connects us directly to the health of the planet. Choosing sustainably sourced beans, supporting ethical farms, and reducing waste (like single-use cups or pods) can turn a simple cup into a more conscious ritual.

On Earth Day, coffee becomes more than just a caffeine fix—it’s a chance to support practices that protect ecosystems and the communities behind every harvest.
