Our Speakeasy Room played host to a “RIP to the Last Name” celebration, complete with beautiful cocktails and even better company.

We love seeing this room filled with people celebrating the sweetest chapters of life.

We asked Chef Alexis and Sous Chef Eddie to describe each other as kitchen utensils and their answers were surprisingly telling.

What started as a funny question turned into a pretty interesting look at how well these two know each other.

The precision. The attention to detail. The ability to make things come together, even when the process gets a little noisy.

There’s a lot that happens in a kitchen before a plate ever reaches your table. And a big part of doing it exceptionally well is knowing the people you’re working alongside.

What we loved most about their answers was hearing them recognize the very things that make the other person good at what they do.

There’s something pretty special about someone driving miles to sit at a table simply because they know who will be waiting on them.

We’ve watched guests walk through our doors and ask for a particular server by name. Not because they need anything extraordinary. But because somewhere between the first glass poured, the conversations shared and the meals served, a familiar face became part of the reason they come back.

And we think that says something beautiful about hospitality.

Because a great meal might bring you through the door once.

But the way someone makes you feel while you’re here? That’s what makes you willing to drive a little farther to come back.

We love that our guests have favorite servers. We love that our team remembers faces, learns names and builds relationships that reach well beyond the dining room.

It’s the kind of thing you can’t put on a menu, but it’s one of the things we’re most proud to serve.
