Many of you have seen and shared our posting that the Swiss Roots building is for sale. However, please know that the inn is open for reservations and HinterZimmer diner space is available for events. Until the place is sold, we will continue to be a wonderful place to stay and relax. Inn reservations can be made online at our Swiss Roots website. For information about having an event please call 304-613-7584. And remember the post office is open daily except Sundays

At this time the owners and manager of Swiss Roots in Helvetia, West Virginia would like to officially give everyone an update on what is happening at our family business.
On June 30, 2026 the Country Store at Swiss Roots will be closing. The Swiss Roots Inn will remain open and all room reservations and bookings can be made online at swissrootswv.com. Our website will show room availability and pricing. The US Post Office will continue to be open and serve the community as usual with their normal business hours. The Hinter Zimmer “Back Room” of Swiss Roots can now be rented as an event space. It is a beautiful, cozy space with the room capacity of 25 people. Catering is available. For more information on renting and catering options, please call 304-613-7574 or 304-613-7585.
Our family wants to sincerely thank you for your patronage. You being part of our business is like being part of our family. This Swiss Roots venture for our family was a labor of love for our customers, guests and community.

We are saddened that because of unfortunate circumstances the HinterZimmer Diner at Swiss Roots is now closed. Thank you for being a part of our venture for more than a year. Come visit us at the store and inn.Summertime in Helvetia is WONDERFUL!!
