In 2013, Charlie and Terri Britt purchased the quaint JumpinGoat Coffee Roasters at 7086 S. Main, in Helen, Georgia from the original owners, Forrest and Debbie Graves. As a true “foodie” and growing up in a family restaurant business, Charlie’s focus has been on expanding and creating our gourmet line of coffees to include ones such as Bourbon Infuse
d Pecan Coffee, Wine Infused and Chocolate Wine Infused Coffee. In March 2019, our second location, JumpinGoat Coffee Roasters & Tasting Room in Cleveland, opened to huge acclaim, immediately winning White County’s Best Coffee House. At this location, just five miles down the road from our original Helen one at 2404 Helen Hwy, we have a full espresso bar, mead, wine and craft beer, as well as million dollar views of the magnificent Mt. And we have the only dog park in town, plus live music every Saturday afternoon. Both of our locations offer a unique shopping experience, too! Whether you’re looking for a a quaint coffee boutique on the Chattahoochee River at our Helen store, or more of a tasting experience on our 71/2 acre location at the base of Mt. JumpinGoat Coffee derives it’s name from the legendary discovery of the coffee “cherry” by an Ethiopian goatherd, Kaldi. He saw his goats jumping and playing after eating cherries from a certain tree and tried them himself. He found they gave him energy. He took the cherries to the local monastery, and the monks made a drink from them. They thought the cherries were a gift from God because they could stay alert in their long hours of evening prayer. Over time, coffee evolved into a drink enjoyed all over the world. JumpinGoat Coffee Roasters is proud to bring you some of the worlds finest coffees.
