This one is special. ❤️🇺🇸

We are honored to be invited back to Sunset Memorial Park as they show appreciation for the men and women who show up for our communities when they are needed most.

They will be serving free BBQ sandwiches, chips, and tea for our first responders, and we are so grateful they chose Missy Mae’s to provide the ice cream treats. 🍦

First responders come in many forms including the ones behind the walls keeping others safe. My own husband serves in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and although he’ll be working and won’t be able to attend, this makes my heart extra thankful for all who answer the call to serve.

We can’t wait to hand out some smiles and say a small “thank you” to those who give so much. ❤️🤍💙

We can never thank our First Responders enough for all they do. Robert Byrd and staff invite First Responders to stop by on Friday and grab a BBQ lunch compliments of Sunset. Just bring your badge or ID to Sunset Memorial Park between 10:30-2 July 10!

A little behind the scenes of Missy Mae’s… 💕🍦

One of the things I’ve always loved most about an ice cream truck is the magic of the surprise. ✨

Don’t get me wrong, planned visits are always special and we LOVE being invited to your neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and events. But there’s just something about hearing that jingle out of nowhere, looking outside, and realizing “the ice cream truck is here!” that feels like a little piece of childhood. 🥹

I know some people would love a set schedule or to know exactly when we’re coming (and I completely understand that side too!), but as a busy mom of six, I never want to make promises I can’t keep. Our days change, weather changes, life happens… and I would rather surprise you than disappoint you. 💕

We also try not to visit the same neighborhoods too often because we want it to stay exciting when Missy Mae’s rolls around the corner. The smiles, the kids running, the unexpected memories… that’s the part we love most.

So keep listening for the jingle… you never know when a little sweetness might show up. 🎶🍦✨

Thank you, Headland Area Chamber of Commerce, for giving Missy Mae’s the opportunity to set up at the fireworks for the THIRD year in a row. 🥹🍦

Thank you to every single person who stood in line, smiled through the Alabama heat, supported our little business, and let us be a small part of your family’s holiday memories. Seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones is something we will never take for granted.

And can we talk about that firework display?! 🤩🎇 Was that impressive or what?! I’d say Headland knocked it out of the park!

There’s just something special about small towns, traditions, and seeing a community come together.

Hometown pride was shining bright last night. ❤️🤍💙
