well, let’s just start off with this being the hardest post I’ve ever posted in my life. It is official with a heavy heart and a lot of sadness. We will be closing the doors of Georgio‘s after 40 years. I would have liked to have an announcement and did some specials and close after a month, but with the sudden passing of my father, everything hit at once and unfortunately, I cannot handle the pizza place by myself without my mother and father. We built a place as a family and having 2/3 of that family missing is very hard on me. This is going to be a long message, but I’ve been thinking for the last month what to write the Georgio‘s name is just on the back burner. I’m hoping maybe in the future. Someone in the family will reopen but as of right now we are going to be closed. I want to thank the two people that helped me the most Zina, the girl that always cooked in the back with me and zach the most amazing Delivery Guy/he can do anything worker without them to Georgios would’ve been closed long ago. Also, I will be hanging out periodically at my cousin’s place in freeland I know there will be a lot of rumors a lot of people talking. There was nothing wrong with the business. It’s just been too much of a stress on me between losing my father, my mother‘s health and me wanting to spend more time with her and take care of other business ventures, they have if there’s one thing I know I will and I know my mom will miss our all of our loyal customers over the last 40 years, please forgive us for closing this way but we will be in town. I’m going to try and maybe do some small things and maybe some festivals or car shows or anything like that maybe I’ll get a pop-up stand, serve some mac & cheese or some of our halupki but keep an eye out. Maybe they’ll be a little special menu at nonno ciccio (aka) elvies place in Freeland with some vintage Georgio‘s menu items.
I want something from my pizza place to be a part of his pizza place so I have decided to go over. Show him and help cook the infamous Georgio‘s Tuesday special. so next Tuesday the 26th you will be able to purchase for the first time a Georgio‘s Tuesday special at Nonno ciccios he will have them on special every Tuesday, but just like at Georgio‘s they will be available every day of the week just had a little different price other than Tuesday
if you wanna stop by and say hi, I will be there between two and six on Tuesday, 26 May
Nonno Ciccio’s 625 Ridge St

Nonno Ciccio's
Let’s give Elvis a big welcome and let’s bombard him with the greatest special for the last 40 years served in Hazleton the Georgio‘s Tuesday special he does serve alcohol, wine, and hard liquor at the bar so for the first time you can sit down in the bar have a Georgio’s Tuesday special with a glass of wine, a cold beer or a shot
PS DON’T FORGET MY MOM‘S BROTHERS AND SISTERS BUILT MANY ITALIAN PIZZA PLACES IN THIS TOWN AND WE ALL HAVE BEEN GROUNDED IN THIS TOWN FOR MINIMUM 40 UP TO ALMOST 55/60 YEARS
Benito's Restaurant & Lounge was owned by my mom‘s brother Benny and his own and operated by Benny‘s two daughters and Gracie‘s husband Dave the pizza king next Two Italian Guys Pizzeria which was owned by Elvis’s dad my mom’s brother brother, frank and his partner Natale, who has passed away since and of course Nonno Ciccio’s Pizza & Pasta in freeland ran by my cousin elvis and if you’re in the Philadelphia area, my mom’s sister rossetta has the Mill Creek Inn Levittown which is currently being ran by her children and grandchildren and all of the family down there in Levitown so if you’re down that way support our family check them out, but I just wanted to let everyone know our family is still rooted in this town and we will forever be rooted and grateful for all of the people and are great customers over all of these years. The page will be up and running with updates on what’s going on like I said there may be a chance something might open again I don’t know, but as of right now after 40 years, we are closing the main doors to Georgio‘s.
