Happy National Hot Dog Day! Don't forget the cheese! Here are some fun recipes to enjoy the day!

🌭 Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs: Slice your hot dogs lengthwise and place them in garlic butter-brushed buns along with shredded cheese like cheddar and pepper jack. Grill or pan-fry until the cheese is gooey and melted.

🌭 Baked Cheesy Hot Dogs: Sear hot dogs, then place them in top-cut buns. Top with grated cheddar cheese and diced white onion. Bake at 400°F (200°C) until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted, about 6 minutes.

🌭 Cheese Blanket Hot Dogs: Melt cheddar cheese in a cast iron skillet, shaping it into an oblong to match the hot dog. Once bubbly and slightly crispy, place a seared hot dog on one side and roll it up in the melted cheese.

🌭 Hot Dog Grilled Cheese Sandwich: Cook and slice hot dogs, then layer them in a sandwich with cheese, sauerkraut, and any other desired toppings. Grill the sandwich in butter until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

🌭 Loaded Cheddar Hot Dogs: Top toasted hot dog buns with grated white cheddar cheese. Broil or grill to melt the cheese, then load them up with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, crumbled bacon, ketchup, mustard, and relish.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in duties concerned with sanitation program in the production-processing department. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Sanitation production department. Monitor and supervise the department to ensure the highest standards are met and safe work practices are enforced. Responsible for facility meeting Federal and State requirements of sanitation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Explain, train and demonstrate sanitation and safety procedures with employees.
• Inspect premises for unsanitary practices or conditions.
• Review and verify time clock reports.
• Responsible for Plant Master Sanitation Schedule is completed as documented.
• Responsible for Mater Sanitation Implementation.
• Direct cleaning of company equipment and work areas.
• Confer with management, production personnel, and maintenance department on sanitation problems and recommend changes in equipment or work practices to improve sanitation standards and comply with changes in Federal and State sanitation regulations.
• Compile required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
• Convey company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance to all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring safety standards are met and required safety training occurs.
• Responsible for ensuring that all sanitation and production costs, efficiencies and quality standards are met.
• Cross train employees on equipment operations.
• Responsibilities may include production supervision as needed/assigned including the monitoring of cheese quality for consistency and total overall quality. Take immediate corrective action when quality or efficiency issues develop.
• Ensure that safety and GMP's are being followed.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Adhere to company attendance, punctuality and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Scope:

This position is responsible as the Pacific Cheese subject matter expert for all matters related to nutritional labeling (NLEA), FDA/USDA regulations and standards, principles of nutrition and food science, export product document preparation and declarations as relate to the aforementioned standards.

Job Duties:

Provide broad-based labeling and nutrition guidance, from sales concept through successful product launch, ensuring the technical accuracy of product labels, packaging materials and product specification sheets.
Review label and case graphics for technical accuracy.
Ensure that all specification sheets include pictures of label/case graphics to promote accurate visual identification of the product.
Respond to requests for general nutritional and ingredient questions using standard reference databases.
Maintain complete customer and product specific files including approved proof graphics in an organized and readily accessible manner.
Education and Experience Required:

BS in Food Science, Nutrition or a closely related field (MS/MA Preferred)
2+ years experience in the food/beverage industry, primarily in regulatory affairs, regulatory compliance, nutrition or product development.
Experience working with and current knowledge of USDA/FDA Regulations as they pertain to labeling, standards of identity, allergens and food safety.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: (Summary of job duties)
Manage all sales activities for current and future retail customers. Increase revenues by leveraging internal and external data sources as well as exploiting industry insights. Maintain and build relationships with customers by providing industry guidance, support and market intelligence. Build the retail customer business through new product offerings, new packaging concepts, and continual improvement to internal customer service levels. Monitor and evaluate competitive products and pricing of the current customer base as well as adjacent viable markets. Prepare periodic reports covering overall sales volume and annual forecasts, pricing, competitors, new business achieved and business lost.
