to Carmen & Family BBQ’s first annual Jamaican Independence Day Block Party on the 3rd of August 2025. ‘Twas a gorgeous day filled with love and positivity and we couldn’t have pulled it off with the help of our staff aka our family! Thank you to the community that’s kept us in business all these years and to the and for believing in our vision!

This year is really special for us as Carmen is 99 and retired so you can imagine how grateful she was to be able to celebrate her heritage with her community at her second home. She’s missed many faces since the pandemic and was overjoyed to see so many of you at the block party. From the bottom of our family’s heart, we LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU ALL!

We are so thankful for the continued support that we have received from the city of Hayward, Alameda County, and our loyal customers for the past 42 years.

Hi friends and family, you are family if you've been to our restaurant! My mother , the Queen Carmen turned 91 today, how blessed we all are that she is still doing her thing!
