An Update on Moonrakers’ Opening 🌙
We know many of you have been asking when Moonrakers’ will finally be opening, and we wanted to share an update on why things have taken longer than expected.
Unfortunately, our opening has been significantly delayed by an unexpected issue involving our grease interceptor system and Lake County’s approval process.
The system currently installed at Moonrakers’ was professionally designed and sized for our restaurant, and we have been working through the appropriate channels to resolve questions surrounding its approval. Despite the work already being completed, we are now facing the possibility of substantial additional construction before we can receive final approval to open.
We are continuing to work with the County and other agencies involved to find a resolution that meets all applicable requirements, while avoiding unnecessary demolition and reconstruction.
It has been a frustrating delay, especially with the restaurant getting so close to being ready, but we remain committed to seeing this through!
So, thank you to everyone who continues to stop us, message us, and ask when Moonrakers’ is opening. The amount of excitement and support we've received from the community has made this long process a lot easier.
We don't want to announce an opening date until we're confident we can deliver on it. As soon as we have that date, you all will be the first to know!
